Custom Applications
Need software built around accessibility from the start?
Access First develops custom applications for blind and visually impaired users, professionals, companies, and organizations that require tools tailored to specific workflows. From desktop utilities to mobile solutions and internal business software, every project is designed with keyboard access, screen reader compatibility, and practical usability as core requirements.
The objective is simple: create software that works efficiently in real life, removes barriers, and fits the actual needs of the people who use it.

Computer Training for Blind Users
Access First was created with a clear goal: building tools that are truly usable by blind users, with no compromises on accessibility. The same approach applies to training.
Practical Training on NVDA and JAWS
Sessions are one-to-one and hands-on.
No generic theory, only direct work on the user’s computer.
- Advanced NVDA usage
- Professional JAWS usage
- Efficient web navigation (focus mode, browse mode, headings, landmarks)
- Full Windows control via keyboard
- Email, documents, and everyday applications
- Strategies to handle inaccessible software
The objective is autonomy and a solid operational method.
Fully Accessible Remote Connection
Training is delivered through direct remote access to the user’s computer, using fully accessible tools:
- NVDA Remote
- JAWS Tandem
- Remote Incident Manager
This allows immediate intervention without complex setup and without breaking accessibility.
Real-World Experience
Training is based on real, daily work with blind users.
- Technical support on Windows and screen readers
- One-to-one teaching with users at different skill levels
- Development of accessible software such as TAccess
- Optimization of real workflows (audio production, office, daily use)
- Troubleshooting inaccessible software and inefficient setups
Every session is built around real problems, not abstract exercises.
Who It’s For
- Blind users who want full independence with their computer
- Professionals working with accessible tools
- Students needing a practical method
- Users who want to improve efficiency and workflow
Method
- Individual sessions
- Direct access to the user’s system
- Immediate problem-solving
- Development of fast, repeatable workflows
- Removal of unnecessary steps
This is not about learning NVDA or JAWS.
It is about using a computer without barriers.
Languages
Training is available in both Italian and English.
